Library won't shuffle recently played albums to the top and I can't add new songs to playlist

My Question or Issue

When I play a song from an album or playlist, the album doesn't go to the top of the library, it stays down where it is and previously streamed songs won't play whether I'm online or offline, and I can't add new songs to my playlist, the 3 dots beside the new songs are not loading the options.

I've tried logging out and back in and I've tried updating the app, still nothing.

► Playback & playlist issues

You mentioned that you've tried updating the app, but have you tried uninstalling it and redownloading it from the Google Play Store? If there are any pending OS updates, I'd recommend installing them as well.

Also, are you using a VPN? If so, try disabling it to see if that helps. Something else that's worth testing is using another Wi-Fi network or mobile data. Feel free to ask a friend or a relative to create a mobile hotspot for you to connect to.

► Recently played albums not showing at the top of Your Library

In order for the recently played albums to show up at the top of Your Library, make sure to set the sort order to Recents.
