My Question or Issue

The other week I had to upgrade from my S22 Ultra, so I went with the S25 ultra. Since I switched however, spotify has been almost unusable. All apps run fine on the device and my internet/signal is fast and responsive, but in the app I will pause a song, or go to open a Playlist, or really do much of anything, and will have to wait 30-odd seconds for it to respond. I would try to look up a new song and have to wait 30 secs for the bar to come up, then 30 secs for the songs to pop up, then I'd find the song and press play and wait another 30 for the audio to begin. If it was just loading new things or playlists I would chalk it up entirely to an internet issue, but it occurs even when trying to pause a playing song/podcast that has been downloaded, whether inside the app or in the bar in the notifications. I did just test turning on airplane mode. It helped a decent amount, there are still issues with it not pausing, but at least the menus load fast. It doesn't matter If im on wifi or cell. I'm able to go to YouTube and load a full video before a song will load in the app.

Anyone else having any similar issues?

Hey @NearlyBatman,

Thanks for reaching out via the Community and we appreciate the details you've provided.

Because this seems to be happening only with Spotify on your phone and regardless of the network connection, I recommend performing a clean reinstall with the steps here. They also include clearing the cache, which can cause different issues when it's corrupted. If you're using an SD-card it's a good idea to remove it before hand.

Something else that comes to mind is to disable any VPNs and/or battery saving apps/settings that you may be using on the new phone as they can interfere with Spotify's performance.

Keep us posted 🙂
