Links shared through FB messenger either don't work at all, or just open the Play Store

I've been having trouble playing ANY links through Facebook messenger. The links appear as they should but never open the song on spotify. I used to be able to get around the issue by sharing the direct link, but now that doesn't work either.

When a link is clicked it either opens the Spotify app and does nothing, or it opens the Google Play Store to download spotify again. It never plays the track on spotify, only the preview plays in messenger. EVERYONE I know with Android has this issue and I've never heard it addressed.

I'm tired of typing in every single song in the search to listen to what's shared with me.

Please help me fix this issue before I just go back to YouTube where the links work properly every time.

Opens the Spotify Android app...and does nothing. If there isn't a bug on this yet, there should be.

FYI: Text links work though. That's how my friend is sharing tunes with me now. I can send to her (she's on iPhone) but she has to send text links to me. 

They'll sort it out but I can't find a place to submit a legit bug report.

Yes this Drives me crazy. Perhaps it's because I haven't gone into the spotify settings to "link to facebook". I never will and shouldn't have to.
