Missing the pause and play bar on lock screen and notification bar

I have a Galaxy S25 with the latest update (sorry, couldn't find the version) and Spotify version 9.0.90.1229

Like the title says, "previous, pause/play, next" functionality are all missing from the notification bar on both home and lock screens. I still get Spotify notifications from the app. There's no indication that Spotify is even playing in the background other than the actual music.

I've made sure that notifications are allowed, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I've restarted my device several times, yet nothing has worked.

Just to confirm, has this started happening after a specific event such as an update either of Spotify or the OS of your phone? 

We checked on the same make/model and Spotify version, but we couldn't replicate this behavior. In this case, could you send us a screenshot of how they look like on your end? You can attach them to your next response by using the Insert image option in the post editor. Make sure not to send any private info.

Lastly, you can find the OS version of your device in Settings > About phone > Software information.

I'm not sure if an event triggered this. This is a new phone I bought in September, and I had this same issue on my Galaxy S23 as well. I'm not sure how long it's been going on for, but I'm getting tired of having to open the app to change songs, especially while trying to drive.
