I am relatively new to the Spotify Premium community as I just upgraded from my free account last month.
I wanted to load my Korean pop music (mostly unavailable on Spotify) so I can have it on the go anywhere and anytime.
I'm running into the same problem many other people have had in the past (I've been searching for answers in the past posts, but came out with no answer).
Here are the specs to my phone:
Model: Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-i9300
Android version: 4.1.2
Desktop info: Windows 8
I have tried many of the following "solutions" and tried all of them at the same time as well.
1. disabling windows firewall on desktop and also made exceptions to the Spotify app on computer.
2. enabling USB debugged in Developer Options on phone
3. using the same Wifi network over the phone and computer
4. reinstalling and relogging in on Spotify on both the computer and phone
5. restarting computer and phone
6. made sure I have the Galaxy S3 device driver installed on my computer
7. made sure the accounts are both logged in at the same time using the same wifi
8. double checked that my premium is not expired (I have a continuing membership)
As you can see, I am all out of options now.
I do have a hunch in that this could be related to the wifi I am using (I attend a college and use a public wifi).
I really do need the help as I love my music (who doesn't?)

Well I just started trying this today, so I guess you could say just today? 🙂
Hmm.. I know that wifh my old wifi it would not work. Can you try connecting to a different network and see if it works there? You could also try making a adhock network through your computer and connect it with that.

Okay I will try using a personal/private wifi and trying this again. And I will also consider the AdHoc network.
Meanwhile, does anyone else have a possible solution to this problem?
I will greatly appreciate it if there are other helpers as well.

Also, you need to be conntected to the same wifi network and be logged in on your computer first, then you would lanch the Spotify App. Here is something i found on local file syncing. If all fails you might want to try and contact Spotify here.
