Moving offline files to a new Android handset/sd card

I have a lot of songs set to offline on my phone. Syncing them via wifi on a new handset would take ages. Can I move/copy the files manually from my current phone's sd card to my new phone's sd card (also Android)?

I very much doubt it would work as the files themselves are DRM'd and so probably tied to your phone itself.

I see. I was hoping the files were tied to my account.

You could try it, but like I say I think it's unlikely to work

This really doesn't work because of the DRM. Even switching between ROMs on the same handset and trying to restore with Titanium or such like is flakey.

I recently had a minor ROM upgrade that didn't even require a wipe and allthough all the files were in place Spotify refused to recognise them. Had to format SD card and start again. Which took ages.

Mind you for all I normally fling vitriol at Spotify on this one at least I kinda think it is fair enough on the handset switching for DRM reasons.
