Music only plays on Galaxy S6 when screen is active.

When listening to music on a playlist it does not shuffle to the next song if my screen is locked. Once i reopen the app the song starts playing again. This wasn't the case until a weeka go. This is frustrating when i am at the gym or listening to music in my car.

You're not the only one. Samsung introduced an agressive power saving option which is closing Spotify when the application is sent to the background or the screen display turned off.

There is a battery saving option that you need to turn off. More info here:
