My music tends to stop mid-song for no apparent reason.

When I'm listening to music on Spotify my music randomly stops mid song for no apparent reason. At first this didn't bother me but it's happening so often that it's getting annoying. I've tried looking up solutions. I've tried logging out of Spotify on other devices. I've logged out of Spotify and logged back in and I've turned offline mode off and on but none of these have worked. Does anyone else have any suggestions to resolve this issue?

Thanks for the info folks and kudos for the troubleshooting! It's always a good idea to start with a clean reinstall as it often helps resolve different performance issues.

@Markus1521 does this happen when you're streaming music with a different internet connection and on another device?

If you are using an SD-card then corrupted cache on it may also cause some issues with the behavior. We recommend removing it, clearing the cache and giving it a test without putting it back into the devices.

I tested it with different connection, all with the same result. Further it also happens to downloaded music as well as to "online" music.

My phone does not have a SD-card-slot.

Does this happen only on your phone or on other devices as well? Is your phone connected to headphones or a speaker for example when the music stops? 

It would also be great if you can check the battery settings on your phone and make sure that Spotify is not restricted, as well as exclude it from any other performance optimizing apps you might be using.
