Neglected app. Unsubscribing.

Neglected app. Unsubscribing.

I don't think this app has seen any updates since before I subscribed to Premium (3-4 months ago). I've fought with random crashes (due to deleting songs off my SD card, it doesn't like that). The shuffling feature is broken (starts me in the middle/end of the shuffled playlist), so it stops after playing one song oftentimes. The streaming stutters and stops even at the low bitrate setting in good signal areas (meanwhile Pandora always plays like a champ in high quality). It also decides to go into offline mode at weird times.

Just look at this forum, it's full of unanswered bug reports. There hasn't been a single update in months. Everything else about this service rocks, but I pretty much only use it on my phone. I most likely won't be using the desktop version anymore either. I'm going to take the cash I was going to give you and try Rdio.

Great idea, but poor execution. It's been real.

True that, I feel you man. They've neglected Android for so long and let iOS to get all nice features. They're working on it, probably going to satisfy ICS's new ui guidelines and fix all those bugs. You can read a bit of it in here: http://community.spotify.com/t5/Mobile-Android/Android-client-update-unofficial-info-ICS/td-p/21007

I'm really disappointed in spotify's android app...thought they'd have all the little problems ironed out by now, but in fact mine is even less functional now than it used to be with random crashes etc like the OP mentioned. If there isn't an update soon fixing the glitches I will be unsubscribing as well.

Hi I cannot see any official statements in that thread.

The spotify app I just downloaded on my Galaxy Nexus crashes immediately after logging in.

Premium service w/o proper Android support is useless to me. To add insult to injury, I hear the windows phone app is just fine.

What about somebody from Spotify to offer some guidance?

Windows Phone app is good, but not better. Bugs, bugs, bugs... without fix.
