Nexus 4 PlayBack Pausing

I am have installed Spotify on Nexus 4 (from Google Play Store) Android 4.2.2.  I am getting behavior when i am listening to the radio, or playlist the song will play just fine, finish, but when it comes to loading the next song it does not happend on its own, I have to wake the screen by the power buttion and the song will start playing in 2-5 seconds.  

I am not sure if this is a setting issue or a bug.

Hi, I'm having kinda similar issue on my Galaxy Nexus, I'm running custom rom 4.2.2 and when I listen to music and leave my phone playing, then I get some email and sms messages and my music starts skipping until I unlock the screen that will get it back to normal playing.

Yeah, it does look like it is a 4.2.2 issue, buecasue I just got this device, yesterday and did not have any issues on my old Andorid phone was running ICE.

Possibly, I hope Spotify would sort it out quickly because it's annoying.

Check that the 'keep wifi on during sleep' setting is set to 'always' in the advanced wifi settings of your phone

Are you all using WiFi?

Make sure you have it set to keep WiFi turned on while your device sleeps 🙂
