Whenever I try to open spotify on my phone it doesn't work. It sits on a blank screen. I tried to uninatall and re install and that did not help at all. I pay for spotify premium so this is very irritating. What can I do to fix this?
I had the same issue you are describing, and even after i tried all the troubleshoot tips. It still crashed.
Finally i tracked down the problem for me, it was my SD Card.
When i put in a different one it went back to being stable again.
Maybe something you can try?
Mine was crashing with each attempt to start. I removed the SD card completely and when spotify started again, it talked about not have an sd card and memory space.
So this crashing issue is related to usage of SD card.
Oh and I should note, my phone has 4.75gb of free space on internal memory
I have since uninstall the app and reinstalled without SD card attached. App started first time. And is working normally so far.
I just saw a thread with a sollution concerning your problem and also with a note3
Maybe you can try those steps
Well, just to think along with you.
Can you describe the steps you are doing?
Maybe by doing this, we can find another option for you to use.
can you uninstall the app from Settings - Apps then scroll to the Spotify app and tap on it, then press 'Uninstall' (or any other way you usually uninstall apps).
Once done using a file manager (such as ES File Explorer) make sure that the below folders are deleted (the second one may be still remaining from the older version of Spotify):
/Android/data/com.spotify.music
/Android/data/com.spotify.mobile.android.ui
Note: - Make sure to check both Emulated/0/ AND the /ext_sd/ locations for these folders as they could be on Internal memory or/and external SD card.
Now remove the SD card completely and go to the play store and install the Spotify Music app again (Direct Link). With the SD card still removed open SPotify and see if it loads OK. If it does then it may be a case that your SD card is corrupt and requires reformatting.
Official guides for a clean reinstallation here
If using an external sd card to store your cache (Offline Playlists) on Android 4.4.2+ then please read instructions in the thread here: [Android 4.4.2+]Cache on external SD card is possible
Did you also check if there were still spotify folders there after you deinstalled it?
Maybe it's an idea to fill in most of the template, shown here:

and post it in this thread
So all the info is in one place, and you don't have to repeat yourself.
Also, it makes it easier for the mods to escalate this (i think it's called)
Well.. i don't think every question is relevant for you.
Mmm... not the easiest way to do that...
good luck 😉
