Pixel 2 | Android 8.1.0 | USB-C Headphone Adapter double Press not working

Hey Guys,

i have got a problem with Spotify on my Pixel 2 running Android 8.1.0 (5.January). I have the USB-C Headphone dongle connected and when i press the remote button on my headphones, the music pauses. But if i press it twice (next song), nothing happens. If I press it twice slowly, the music pauses and plays again. So, I think something is wrong here. In Play Music the double press works.

I noticed this issue as well. I do not use the dongle, I have USB-C Headphones and the controls seem to work fine in the Google "Play Music" application. So I think the issue here is with the Spotify mobile app itself. Please help!

Also just to clarify, "controls" working include, the volume up/down, 1 press for pause. but the double click for next does not work.
