Random devices connecting to mine and controlling my music

My Question or Issue

 As I'm driving around listening to Spotify a random device will connect to mine and start controlling my music that I'm listening to. it happens about 3 or 4 times a week. When it happens my Wi-Fi is off or on does not matter. And I'm connected to cellular data on Verizon. The other device will take control and it just goes back and forth when I hit play on my phone and it will go on for 5 minutes or so until I finally just stopped using the app
