Remote control to Samsung galaxy s8

Hi, I'm having trouble remote controlling spotify on my phone from the comouter.

So if i start playing a song on my phone, i can change song and such from the computer no problem, but if i pause the music from the computer i can't start it up again without unlocking my phone and starting it manually from my phone.

When i open the locked screen on my phone, spotify is no longer available to play/pause/change song unless i unlock the phone. As if spotify isn't allowed to run in the background without playing music.

Is there any options to change this?
