Rewind/Previous button is greyed out.

I can't rewind or go to the previous song that just played because the button is always greyed. I'm just listening to one of my playlists. Also none of the other buttons are greyed out. Is there any way to fix this, as sometimes I accidentally skip through songs I want to listen to but can't go back to them to listen to them.

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.

As @Dian mentioned, keep in mind that there are some limitations to the playback navigation capabilities when using the free service. In this case, it's expected that the button is grayed out and it can be unlocked with a Premium subscription.

If you're on Premium and you can't use the button, here are some things to try:

• Logging out and back in. You might need to force the sync on your device in order to see all of your Premium features.
• A clean reinstall of the app. This can help remove any cache that might be causing trouble.

2025 now, i was looking for the same topic becasue i have the same Problem.

although you wont be reading this comment, you shouldn't feel dumb, because its not your fault.
Spotify is a bad designed mess, it should tell you by clicking it, that its a premium only function, but 8 Years after your post they still didn't change it. And as a free user i constantly frustrated with how this unintuitive piece of **bleep** software is designed.

So 8 Years Later Spotify still sucks.
