Samsung S10 and galaxy buds. Touchpads not working

Just recd s10 plus and galaxy buds.  For some reason the touchpads won't change track, pause, etc.  Work fine In other music apps.  

Anyone else have this problem and a possible fix ?

my issue is  when i am listening to spotify and i tap the touch pad to pause the track, then i press it about 30 sec later it wont play again, 

i have to go to the phone and press play on the app

My Galaxy bud pros act up on Spotify but nowhere else that I know of, every so often I'll be listening to music and want to pause but the hitting the touchpad does nothing, if I pause it using the phone it works, but this is the odd thing unpausing music works perfectly fine using galaxy buds as well as skipping songs, and the only way I've found to resolve it is to close and reopen Spotify, which cause the bug to resolve itself. Not sure if disconnecting and reconnecting will work but may try that next time I have the issue.
