My Question or Issue

When connecting my S24 Ultra via Phone Link to my PC, Spotify throws an error message (transleated from German, might be somewhat off): 'Streaming of audio on PC is not supported by this app.', and I can only play Spotify on the smartphone's speaker. However, streaming from my S9+ tablet to the PC, music can be played over the PC's Realtek audio card / external speakers just fine. Alike, all other apps like YT, facebook, Insta can perfectly stream audio to my PC / speaker system as well. There seems to be something flawed in the Spotify BT audio device streaming management on the S24 Ultra.

I have tried deleting Spotify cache on the S24, reinstalled Spotify (allowing audio device access explicitly), enabled Music Share option on S24, to no avail.

Pls help me out, I hope I'm not the only one to experience this.

BR,
Reinhard

Hey there @RePli,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

In this case, there are a few things you can try to see if you notice changes in this behavior:

  • Make sure any battery saver settings are turned off in both your devices.
  • Make sure your mobile device and computer are connected to the same network or Wi-Fi.
  • On your computer, check that your system accounts are working correctly. Go to Settings > System > Shared experiences. If there is an issue with your account, select Fix now to start resolving it.

If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd like to gather some additional info. Just to confirm:

  • Does this happen if you use the Connect feature? If not sure, try using it in either the web player or the desktop app.
  • Would you mind sending us the exact Spotify version you're running on your mobile device?
  • Has the app always behaved like that or does this behavior start after a specific event/update?

Keep us in the loop!
