After the last update on the android app, the history disappeared and what I have searched on after the update is not being saved in the history. So no history at all, is this a bug or is the new version like this? Really want my search history
Thanks for the help. Of course, the feature is kinda useless now that I've lost the ability to go back and save the songs from all the bands I can't even remember any more. And while I've long been a Spotify proponent, the widget's general bugginess and the app's inability to almost ever accurately restart songs leaves me wary of experimenting with anything they admit is in beta...
I just updated last night and now I wish I hadn't. My entire search history is gone and the bands I look up now aren't being saved at all. I see that it was being looked into 3 weeks ago, is this going to be fixed anytime soon?

Same here. Look how many people signed up here just to post about this issue. I can't believe they haven't even told us yet whether it was intentional. The worst thing would be having to wait two months for an answer to only hear "Our engineers decided to remove it and it won't be returning." Because I probably won't be either.
Seriously! Whats going on? Can anyone tell us if your working on it? This is not a "good to have" thing but a really big feature in spotify to be able search for artist over and over again without having to type it again. As you don't have an "All Songs"-list we need the search history!

It's time for my weekly query. Any updates, Spotify? I'm glad you're working on album art for the .5 percent of users with KitKat, but any update on the problem that impacts 100 percent of users (whether they know it or not)? I'm also glad you're expanding the potential customer base by offering new perks for free users, but maybe just an acknowledgement for the users who've been around for a while and propped up the numbers you've used to secure funding and continually skyrocketing valuations?
Again, I hate to appear whiny, but I can't imagine another industry where a major feature that is heavily used by people is inexplicably removed, and it takes a couple months to hear nothing more than "thanks for the heads up." You're not at our beck and call, but a little customer service would be appreciated.

I can't believe it's just an accident like "oops, we deleted a line of code", but I still hope it will be fixed soon.
Yeah this is seriously stupid. I had this feature before, and now I don't have it, and I view it as a major drawback. I guess I can just stop giving you my money.
Yeah, if our words here aren't doing it, I guess we can tell them with our dollars, but it'll just be a drop in the bucket. This is currently the largest non-stickied/official thread on the front page of Android news...let's keep it up. Everyone who is annoyed by this, drop by and register your feelings every few days, until it's too big for them to continue to ignore (okay, not ignore, but acknowledge our existence and not the substance of our complaint in any way).
And again, a lot of the complaints in this forum are the result of user error, or a specific hardware/software issue. This affects 100 percent of users! It should be a priority!
It wouldn't be so bad if someone actually gave us a heads up as to the reason for removing this feature without warning and whether its going to make a reappearance in a future update.The fact that we've heard absolutely nothing other than"yeah we're aware of it",really annoys me.
Anyway speaking as a(former) premium user for the last 10 months,I've gone and cancelled my subcription.Might not make any difference,but if others made their displeasure known it might force someone to actually acknowledge this issue a little better.

Hey, at least they updated the login and sign up pages that I haven't seen since the first time I loaded the app. And it doesn't look like they deleted any features I use, so we have to consider it a win.
