My Question or Issue

 

Spotify Team,

 

I'm having this issue with Smart Shuffle where,

 

If Smart Shuffle is on when Spotify is launched (left on from previous session), I am not able to play any music from my Liked Songs playlist no matter which song I pick. This only holds true for the Liked Songs playlist. Maybe the the Smart Shuffle's Algo/AI (or whatever it's called) has issues reccomending a song for a playlist with multiple genres at the start of a session, I'm not sure, just an idea. 

 

The fix is to turn off Smart Shuffle and then pick a song. I know it's a small issue and easy fix but I'm sure it's frustrating for those who haven't figured this out yet.

 

I think if the Spotify app launches with Smart Shuffle turned off by default. That would help people experiencing the same issue.

Seems like you're having an issue worth investigating.
 
As a first step, you should try deleting and reinstalling the app. Hopefully that'll fix the issue. 🙂
