My Question or Issue

When enabled, the auto-download feature for new podcasts will attempt to download anything new and they all "hang" with spinning download icons but nothing actually downloads. If you close out of the app, reopen then everything downloads as expected. This happens every time, even after a reinstall (BTW, that workaround is getting old too).

Hi there @RPM2182,

Thanks for the post.

We'd suggest checking your phone's app settings for Spotify to make sure that all the permissions are enabled for the app. This is most likely happening, because the OS is blocking the Spotify app from automatically downloading content in the background.

It's also a good idea to check that the Spotify app is excluded from any automatic cache clearing or performance boosting processes.

Hope this helps.

My Question or Issue

I have a playlist that has the auto-download button ticked so that it downloads anything added to it when it connects to wifi. As of this morning, it doesn't download unless I manually make it download an episode.

I have tried clearing the cache and redownloading the app, but neither worked. Unticking and then reticking the auto-downlod button just undownloads anything in that play list but doesn't then redownload everything.
