Hello,
Still no follow up on this topic from the support team???
Hey everyone,
Our tech folks have made some changes backstage, could you check if everything looks good on your end now? Just make sure you're running the latest version of Spotify.
Note that you may also need to log out and sign back in to your account in order for the changes to take effect.
Keep us posted!
Windows 10 Desktop user here. I believe my application is up to date (1.2.30.1135.g02fef27a). I logged out of the app and logged in again, twice, but I'm still having the same problem where smart shuffle generates exactly the same queue out of playlists. Let me know if there's any more information I can provide.
Hello Team,

My Question or Issue
Smart shuffle doesn't really shuffle. Every time I start to play a playlist with smart shuffle it starts from the last song and the songs order is the same (not as the playlist order, but a predefined order that is the same every time I start playing the playlist agian).
Also, the smart shuffle suggestions are exactly the same every time.
Please fix it to be as it was in the past with real shuffle (every new play of the playlist starts at a different song and the order isn't the same). Also, the smart shuffler suggestions should be more diverse like before.
Thank you
I'm running the latest version on MacOS Sonoma 14.3. I logged out and back in. Still having this issue. Click on Smart Shuffle on a playlist and it's giving me the same order over and over.
Notably the first time I clicked it after logging out and back in it gave me a new smart shuffle playlist. But then when I toggled through it went back to giving me the same play order it's been giving me for weeks, and now it seems stuck on that again.
Problem definitely isn't solved.
Hello Yordan,
Singed out of my account, then cleaned cache, uninstalled the application, reinstalled from the Play Store.
THE PROBLEM PERSISTS.
Tried the latest version (on Feb 16) still the same issue on Iphone

I'm having exactly the same issue. Smart shuffled playlists always play in the same order with the same non-playlist songs inserted in the same places. I know Spotify keeps on asking us what device and OS we're using, but smart shuffle will probably be set and pushed to our local app from Spotify servers.
Behaviour to support this: I cleared cache, logged out, uninstalled and reinstalled my Windows 10 app. I then logged back in and went to immediately smart shuffle a playlist. Initially, the smart shuffle icon was displaying but the playlist was playing non-shuffled. Then, after cycling through the shuffle options and restarting the playlist a few times (smart shuffle simply playing non-shuffled), suddenly smart shuffle was playing its usual set "random" order with the same smart songs shuffled in at the same point in the order.
So, this suggests that smart shuffle was being loaded in the background. And that wherever it was loading from had a set rotation. And that the location of this set rotation is not local (as I'd cleared cache and reinstalled, and there was a clear wait time before the smart rotation started as usual).
@Spotify - please can you clear your cache for our profiles on your end?
just adding another ditto - have had this issue for months now. on both iphone and windows desktop
Not just android issue, recently had this issue show up on my iPhone (iOS 17)
Is there any plan on fixing this bug?

My Question or Issue
Hey there @matilda_1973,
Thanks for reaching out about this and welcome to the Community.
Could you let us know what exactly happens when you try to use the Smart Shuffle feature? We'd also like to know if that happens across devices or only on a specific one.
If it happens only on a specific device, we suggest that you try logging out and then logging back in twice in a row to see if that makes the difference.
Let us know how it goes.
The problem still persists. Even clearing the cache doesn't change the order. Quite frustrating. I can see someone trying to fix this while driving...
Only smart shuffle. Mine is set to download, not sure if that's a variable in all of this. I don't want it to download smart shuffle songs and want my main playlist offline as needed.
Everything is up-to-date.
