Song changing volume on it's own

I've had some recent weird episodes with my music. 

Spotify will be open, phone will be locked, a song will be playing and randomly the volume will change and most of the time the song will stop because the volume turns  all the way down. Sometimes the song changes. 

I thought that maybe my headphone port was dodgy, but then I held my phone in my hand, unlocked and as I was watching it, my volume bar increased and decreased like something was touching and changing it!

Thought a button was stuck but definately wasn't as the volume was going up AND down and they are two seperate buttons. 

Hellppppppp! I have a galaxy s6 and running verson 6.3.0.882 armV7 of spotify. Upgraded my app yesterday, still having problem. Only started a few days ago.

Hello , Welcome to the Community!
Do you have this issue also with other headsets?
If not, maybe the volume button of your headset is not placed property.
You can try to unplug your headset, hold the controls with one hand and rub your a finger over the volume button.
If that doesn't help or you also have this problem with other headsets, I recommend you to get in touch with the seller of your headset or phone.
