Songs Play, NO Sound! WTF?

I have an HTC DNA and the Spotify app has played fine until yesterday morning. The app plays but the sound doesn't come through the phone speaker, the jack, or through bluetooth connection.  All other apps and sounds are working fine.  I also tried reinstalling, still nothing.  Any ideas??

Sorry if this is a silly question, but have you tried fully rebooting the phone?

Stupid question, but have you checked the volume when playing the Spotify app?

If thats right, then try factory resetting the device 😞

Since the last update to 0.5.12.52 I have the same problem, on HTC Sensation, Android 4.03, HTC Sense 3.6.

Spotify app plays (at least it looks like...) but there is no sound, nether on earphones no with the built in speakers. Sound ist working normally with all other apps and functions.

- I de and newly installed the spotify app

- reboot several times

- even swithed off and on battery
