Songs keep pausing/stopping

My Question or Issue

My downloaded songs keep pausing/stopping. Sometimes, it gets two thirds of the way through a song, sometimes it is every 10 seconds. This just started a few days ago and it is VERY frustrating.  This sometimes happened when I was running out of space, but the spotify app would tell  me why it wasn't working properly. The app doesn't do anything now, it just stops. I've tried to troubleshoot but moving off a bunch of downloaded songs (in case it was a space thing) and deleting and re-adding the app, logging in and out etc but it is still happening!

Songs a pause at the :10 mark on my Pre-2018 chromebook.  It doesn't use android apps. It still has the very latest version of Chrome OS stable.

I logged into Spotify on the web, in an incognito browser window, not change.

Songs play, at ten seconds pause of a couple seconds, then resume.

It is maddening.  Can you confirm this is a DRM 'checking' permission issue?

I have the same issue but it happens across all my devices, computer, heos, iPhone, etc
I have tried every solution I can find and nothing has worked. Frustrated and about to cancel my subscription
