Songs randomly stop playing and start over

I've been experiencing this for a few weeks now: whenever I try and listen to any song, it will play for some minutes then suddenly stop, and when I go check what happened I see that the song has paused and started over from the beginning. I suppose there must be some kind of issue of compatibility between the updated app and my phone, which is a Xiaomi Redmi 4. Could that be it? What should I do?
