Spotify App Disappear but is still taking space

Good morning, 

I am on HTC One M8 running Android Version 6.0 

As I said in the title, I was using my phone trying to make some space for a new app I wanted to download. It didn't work. However during the process, I noticed that my spotify app icon disappeared. I then checked in my apps, it wasn't there. I finally checked in the internal and external storage and the space it was taking (approximately 5GB) is still taken but I can't find the spotify app anywhere, can't uninstall, nor reinstall because I don't have enough available space. Meanwhile I really need space and 5 GB out of 16 GB are being used by a ghost. 

I would love someone's help on this as it is VERY frustrating not to be able to use my phone correctly (the lack of space makes it go haywire)

Look for and delete folders in any of the following locations:

/emulated/0/Android/data/com.spotify.music
/ext_sd/Android/data/com.spotify.music
/sdcard1/Android/data/com.spotify.music
/data/media/0/Android/data/com.spotify.music

Hello again Daniel, 

I have deleted everything that I could find that matched your locations, but I still have no space available and the spotify app is still missing.
I have searched in all the files of the file manager, should I search elsewhere as well ?  
What else could I try ?

Those are the locations SPotify stores it's cache. I suspect if these do not exist that it may be something else taking up your space... apps like ES Fie explorer have an option to scan the disc and show you exactly where the largest files are. I recommend trying this
