Spotify Bluetooth recently stopped working with my car and headset

I have a 2016 Chevy Cruze and jaybird x3 Bluetooth headphones and for some reason just recently my Bluetooth stopped working properly with both. I use Spotify on my Google pixel 2 and everything was originally working fine but as of this week I can no longer change songs from my car or jaybirds and my car no longer shows what song is playing or how far it is in the track just connects and plays. In order to change a song or see what's going on I have to open my phone and change it from the app anyone know what's going on? Recent update possibly causing this problem?
