My Question or Issue
Hello,

I am experiencing a serious audio issue on my Xiaomi Redmi 14 Pro + 5G when using my Redmi Buds 6 Pro with Spotify. Here are the details:

Issue Description:
When I play music directly from the Spotify app, there is no sound coming through my earbuds. However, if I first listen to music using another application and then switch to Spotify, the earbuds work normally.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

  • I reinstalled the Spotify app.
  • I reinstalled the Xiaomi Earbuds app.
  • I confirmed that other music applications work without any issues.
  • It appears that the problem is exclusively related to Spotify when launching music directly through it.

I would appreciate any assistance or suggestions you may have to resolve this issue.

Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to help you get the earbuds working as expected again.

 

We haven't encountered anything quite like this, so let's narrow down the possible cause. Consider trying the following:

  • Does this happen with any pair of earbuds or only these? Does it happen on wired headphones?
  • Does it happen with these same earbuds when playing on a different phone? You can also ask someone you know to test this out.
  • If it's only on these earbuds, check the settings such as audio normalization, equalizer and noise cancelling and try turning those off to see if it makes a difference.
  • If you're using any comparable sound settings on the phone itself, try turning those off too. Try turning off battery optimization as well or at least excluding Spotify from it.
