Spotify Notification always showing Album Cover from previous Song

Hi, bascially the subject title says everything. Only had this issue on this phone. Tried reinstalling and deleting data already. Picture or albumcover changes with the next song, so it keeps being one behind.

For those who have the possibility of upgrading to Android 13 OS, we'd recommend doing it since that should fix the inconvenience. For those who are running a OS below that on their mobile devices, check if it's possible to update to android 13; if not, please send us:

• The exact make/model of the device.
• The exact Spotify version you're running on the affected device.
• If you can't get an update to Android 13 on your device.

Be aware that we'll need all the info mentioned so we can forward this to the right team. If you already sent us some of these details, no worries you don't need to send everything again, just the remaining info.

Remember to check if there are some pending updates for the app on your devices. You can go to the Play Store and double-check: you'll see an install button for the app.

Hi I have the same problem but only when I switch playlists, then it shows the cover of the previous song from the previous playlist I listened to.

Device: Redmi note 11 Pro 5G

Spotify premium version: 8.8.28.409

Miui version: 13.0.7 with no updates pending

I have:

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro 

MIUI Global 14.0.4 Stable (SJZEUXM) 

Android 12

Spotify Version: 8.8.48.523 (freshly updated, but issue persistent)

Update:

I Updated my phone to MIUI Global 14.0.2 (Android 13) and the issue have been solved.

I've still got this issue, I would add an attachment to show but I need to sign in. MIUI global 14.0.3 stable, android 13. Could this be an issue with MIUI, not Spotify?

It seems if I skip the song using the Spotify notification's controls, the album cover updates correctly, but if I let Spotify automatically go to the next song, then it doesn't update correctly.

Même problème sur un Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro avec la version 8.8.74.652 de Spotify et pas de possibilité de mettre a jour depuis le playstore.

Passer a Android 13 est impossible car les Redmi ont leur propre OS basé sur Android et pour mon modèle (et d'autres) Xiaomi arrête les mises à jour de l'OS.

Pour ma part le problème est apparu après une mise à jour de Spotify donc aucun rapport avec un passage à Android 13.
