Spotify Offline Playlist on Google wear?

For quite some time I've been looking for a smartwatch that supports Offline Playlists of Spotify.

I'd love to go running while listening to music without having to take along my mobile. 

Now, I heard that the new Samsung Galaxy supports this, but Google wear doesn't yet? It doesn't really make sense to me.

Ideally I'd love to buy a new G4 fossil smartwatch! But support told me it's not possible yet..

So my question, is Spotify working on this? If so, is there somewhere I can see the status of this request? 🙂
