My Question or Issue
I recently performed a system update which updated my Spotify player while in the background. Originally I thought this was just an aesthetic choice but I soon realized that my Spotify starts to crash when I leave my music running in the background. The Spotify player is no longer visible on my lock screen and when opening the Spotify app it acts as if the app was closed out rather than just running in the background (for reference the song it crashes on will be paused and set to the beginning of the song when opening the app again, regardless of what part it actually crashed on).
I've tried disabling battery saver restrictions, reinstalling the app, relogging in, restarting my phone, and pretty much every troubleshooting method I can think of. I'm currently stuck and just want to figure out what's causing Spotify to crash while my phone is idle. Any insight would be appreciated.

I looked further into it and it just so happens this is an issue with specifically LGV60s, Android 13, and Music Streaming Apps. I'm going to accept this as a solution and try to figure out the issue for myself, thank you for your assistance.
Hi there @Vaeyguh,
Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.
We understand that you started experiencing this crashing after updating the OS version of your phone.
You mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a clean reinstall, as it's more thorough than a normal one?
If a clean reinstall using this guide didn't do the trick, there're also a few other things we can try. Can you make sure that Spotify has all necessary permissions enabled?
It's also a good idea to exclude the app from any Battery optimization software that might be active on your smartphone.
Lastly, would you mind checking if this happens only with Spotify or with other streaming apps as well?
We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
I tried a clean reinstall, enabled all permissions, allowed for unrestricted battery and data access, and restarting my phone to no avail. The player randomly closes.
Recently though the app tried to close while I was actually on it. My system gave me the "Spotify isn't responding" prompt and I chose to close it, and when reopening the previously played song is paused at 0:04 (this happens every time the player closes). So its reasonable to assume that Spotify is just crashing randomly regardless of whether or not the screen is off. Maybe it's a bug with the latest version? Any extra help would be greatly appreciated.

I also experienced the same thing, I feel really annoyed and almost unsubscribed sometimes.
