Hi there,
Thanks for posting this thread in the forum and welcome to the Community!
If the app works as it should after you reset it and if you've not already done this I recommend a clean reinstall. It's more detailed than a regular reinstall and helps resolve different performance issues. You can follow the steps here.

Hi
So I'm having this exact problem
Nothing you suggested here works. quite frankly I don't understand why I should all of a sudden (no system updates/no settings changes) be scouring the internet trying to figure out why an app I'm paying for should all of a sudden decide how loud I should be listening
this is happening on Android, charge at 76% so not a power saving mode
YT music doesn't do this so it's not the phone, its your app
I’m having this exact issue currently on iPhone 12 Pro iOS 18.5. None of the tips helped. Having to turn up the volume at the start of every song is getting annoying.
Tried everything at this point. Figuring it’s a bug in Spotify. No other app has this issue for me.

Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the conversation.
Just to make sure we're on the same page, would you mind confirming if you've already tried the troubleshooting previously mentioned by @Ivelina?
If so and the issue persists, would you mind checking on a different device (using your own account) to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.
Lastly, can you make sure that Background App Refresh is enabled for the Spotify app? (Settings > General > Background App Refresh)
We'll be on the lookout for your response.
This worked!
Disabling the Audio Normalisation worked for me
