Spotify being controlled by other users on the same family plan and wifi

My Question or Issue

When trying to control three separate Spotify sessions with separate devices, while NOT starting a Jam, Spotify decides that we must be able to control each other's devices. For example, in my bedroom I have a Google Speaker and listen using that. The living room is used as a gaming area, and my boyfriend listens with his headset in there while my other boyfriend works in the kitchen with his earbuds. We have not started a jam, we are trying to listen to different music, but for some reason when trying to pause or skip songs, or add to our queue, it affects someone else's music at random. How the heck do I fix this?

We're afraid we don't have sufficient info to give you specific troubleshooting steps for your use case, so here's a list of some general ones that might help:

• Make sure that each user in the Family plan is logged in their own account on their device. You can check the list of Family members here.
• If the Bluetooth devices you use support multipoint connectivity, make sure they're not cross-connected between users, i.e. each user is only connected to their own Bluetooth device.
• Check whose account is connected to the Google speaker in your bedroom and link a different one if needed. More info on this here.

If the issue persists, please provide a more detailed description of your issue (e.g. playback is started on X device, pressing pause stops the music on Y device and voice commands affect device Z) so we can investigate further.
