Spotify can't connect to data when Android's Data Saver is on

My Question or Issue

Data will work if I have data saver (Android's data saver, not Spotify's) turned off. However when I turn it on Spotify is not connecting to the internet with data. Even if I choose "Allow data usage while Data saver is on" I still can't get it to connect. I would assume that shouldn't matter anyway as when I'm looking at Spotify and trying to navigate it, it's very much in the foreground anyway. But still nothing. Would love some help on this one.

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community. 

Keep in mind that the data saver restricts the most power-consuming features and that might affect the app's performance.

However, you should still be able to navigate the app. In this case, would you mind checking if the same happens if you close all the other apps and leave only Spotify open?

On another note, could you ask a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your device to check if they can replicate this behavior?
