Spotify can't find the chromecast

I bought the new chromecast but in the list of available devices it doesn't show up. Has anyone an idea why?

It sounds like you can only use Chromecast via mobile devices.  Take a look at the solutions listed in the article.  If any of those solutions work for you, please mark this as an Accepted Solution so the issue will be considered closed.   I hope the solutions work out for you.
