Spotify closes when i pause the music

Anytime I pause a song spotify automatically closes so i have to look for the app in order to open it again and set resume to the song i was listening. And i if use the play/pause button of my earphones, my phone plays what i have on my Samsung music app.... im using a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and seem to have the last update of spotify

Me too! I'm on S7 edge also.. has anyone found a fix (March 2017)

Hello, I believe the problem is caused by the background apps closing. The Android OS closes background processes to help save battery and to keep apps from slowing down your phone. You can't turn this off however you can let more background processes run. 

Go to settings -> about phone -> Build number. Press build number 5-10 times. Go to about phone -> developer options -> Background Process limits. Once you get there click it and put as many background processes as you can. I believe the limit is 4. Hope this helps.
