Spotify connection to BMW. Why only with IPhone? When will this also works for Android?

I also wonder...very disappointed over here...not only it does not work as BMW connected drive, but when playing over bluetooth, album artworks do not show up (they do on iphone)...

6 months later and still no support for Android Spotify app.   Come on BMW/Spotify, let's get a move on.

Spotify made me pass from Androind to iPhone (better integraiton with my BMW).

And guess what happened?? My Iphone came with Apple Music. And guess what happened then? I started my trial on Apple Music, and I loved it! So not only I cancelled my subscription to Spotify, but I did the same for my wife's account.

We both passed onto Apple music (same family, so we pay 14.99 Eur instead of 19.98 for 2 spotify accounts).

Congrats Spotify, you lost 2 customers on one go! LOL

And is Apple Music integrated into the BMW ConnectedDrive system?

Apple Music is perfectly integrated in my BMW Connected Drive. I have a BMW 3 series from 2015 with Professional Navigation (Head Unit HU_NBT)

The best part of it is, that via Bluetooth you have full visibility on playlists and songs that you have in the "My Music" section of Apple music (both saved offline or in the cloud). While with Spotyfy on bluetooth you only get title and option to go next or previous (without knowing what you'll get)

Also, via bluetooth, you get Artwork, and no bugs in playback (which I had with Spotify).

I'm very happy about it, really!

I bought an iPhone only because of spotify.

Spotify must understand one thing, the people who listen to music while driving mostly drive something below 4 series. And spotify provided integration to a 7 series first. Bravo 😉 

I'm waiting for a spotify android for my 3 series. Will you ever do it?
