Spotify continues to play after removing earphones from phone - LG G4

Hi everyone, Don't know if others are having this issue. 

I got a new Android phone, LG G4, and for some reason whenever I'm playing Spotify either in the background or in the app, it continues to play after I remove the earphones from my phone.  Never had an issue with any previous Android phones or even on my computer.  I know it's not the G4 issue since other apps stop playing automatically just fine.  

Anyone else having this issue with Spotify?  Wondering if it's just a bug and it's just a quick update fix.

FFS Spotify devs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had this problem on my previous phone and had to wait months for them to fix it, then they go and release an update that introduces no apparent features but reintroduces the bug again. The incompetence is unbelievable.

My previous post detailed issues with my S6, now I'm getting it again in app version 6.3.0.882 on my S7. Sort your **bleep** out Spotify!!

Can anyone confirm the latest apk version without the bug, and any link to download? It might be time to give Google Play Music another try.

After a few minutes, the app switches to phone speakers when it disconnects from my car's Bluetooth (embarrassing... I walk into a quiet store and my pocket is playing music). I have tried pausing before turning my car off. Seems to work but I shouldn't have to do this.

I've been discussing this issue with @spotifycares, trying to narrow the failure down and rule certain things out.

As of yesterday they said the tech team were looking into it and they'll let us know as soon as they have a fix.

I'm not too sure how well this forum is monitored as I've got a much better response using twitter for the last couple of issues I've found.

You all behave as if you really think Spotify gives a single f**k that their latest release introduced some bugs. They'll fix it or not some time in the future, this won't make you cancel your premium subscription so it is highly unlikely to be anywhere close to the top of their priority list.

And yeah happens to me as well, One M7 with Android 5.0.2 running Spotify 6.3.0.882

Also, playback can't be stopped through lockscreen widget, I have to unlock the screen, go to Spotify app and pause manually. Someone mentioned that already.

Same thing on a Moto X.

Started happening to me as well after the latest update (previously was working just fine).

Do not download Spotify Version 6.3.0.882 armV7! Anyone with the .APK of the previous version so I can rollback? Cheers!

S7 Edge, same issues as everyone else in the thread (keeps playing after I DC fromantic bluetooth, during calls etc.) Only started happening recently. Reinstall didn't work.

Make sure you turn off auto update or you will automatically be upgraded to the latest **bleep** version.

and uncheck auto updates on spotify...
I tried it two weeks ago and it works just fine.

Same issue on my Samsung Galaxy S6. It is driving me crazy. Plays music when I get a phone call, plays music aloud when i pull out headphones, plays music when i get a call and havent even been listening to music. Also crashes all the time and freezes.

There was one update available about a week ago, my current app version is 6.5.0.1816 however problem still persists.

Now I'm thinking of giving Apple Music a try.
