Description
When I listen on Note 3, after a while of changing the songs the sound is gone and after a few second the phone restarts or shuts down. Spotify is in version premium. Issue appears in offline mode, as well as online mode.
What are the steps you took to get to the error/issue?
1. When I just listen without swiching forward everything is fine.
2. When I start to swich forward, for exapmle looking for some song, after few songs suddenly volume is off.
3. The song is still running - i.e. screen looks like nothing happened. But when I remove the headphones, phone does not register this - it still says that headphones are in but there is no sound.
4. After a few seconds phone crashes.

Daniel,
So here it is. Before I went and did all the heavy lifting uninstalling, deleting folders, etc. I just uninstalled the EQ app. I have been flipping through songs and albums, fast forwarding within the app for the past five minutes. Can't seem to crash the thing! This is good news and bad news. Spotify sounds like AM radio without an EQ on board. Just not acceptable. Suggestions?
I have a built in equaliser in my android app.... Why do you have 3rd party equalisers???
So, yes, I now see the onboard EQ now that I uninstalled the third party EQ. Actually, Spotify is using the Android stock app, MusicFX. Works fine in terms of sound quality, but same issue. The EQ crashes and all sound stops. Spotify shows that the music is playing but no sound. I will see what happens if I disable MusicFX. In my previous test without the third party EQ installed, I was advancing songs without having headphones plugged in. I think having headphones plugged in is part of the issue too. Sound does not recover when unplugging the headphones. The only way to get sound back is to reboot. The device hangs on rebooting and I have to hold down the power button to get it to reboot. **CONCLUSION** Rebooted device. Disabled MusicFX, so now in settings for Spotify there is not an option for EQ at all. I am listening via headphones with streaming at High Quality. The sound is pretty good! Skipping songs like a mad man and not crashes. I could stand a touch more base especially for genre Rock, but, no crashes...well maybe workable. 🙂

Looks like I would need to root my phone for this to work Daniel. 😞
Ah yes, maybe give Equalizer a go
That's the one I had. Paid version. Crash city! No EQ at all is the only way the device runs as it should. Sound is okay.
