Hey there @tech_pigeon,

Thanks for reaching out.

Keep in mind that we can't guarantee the proper functionality of the Spotify app on a rooted device. You can try performing a clean reinstall of the app, but if this doesn't do the trick, we'd recommend making use of the app on a phone that's not rooted.

Cheers!

sorry but i made a mistake when making the post, but the device is non-rooted. it has twrp and stuff, but i didin't install Magisk.

the device also sometimes crashes / reboots when a app is open, (just shows the lineage boot screen when the os is loaded). It's also in the common bugs. LineageOS 20 for S  III.

Hey there @tech_pigeon

Thanks for getting back to us and sending us this info.

Just to confirm, have you tried reinstalling the app with the steps @Novy sent previously? If so and it didn't do the trick, we'd recommend that you try factory resetting your phone to see if that makes the difference.

On another note, we suggest that you try logging into your account on a more recent device to see if there's a difference as we suspect the phone you mentioned might be a bit outdated. Keep in mind the app is being constantly updated and some new features might not be supported by certain older devices and this could cause poor functionality.

Keep us posted on how it goes.
