Spotify for Chromecast for all the time I owned Chromecast, shown a fancy list of previous, current and next track.
But since about a week or two ago, this changed and now everytime I start casting audio from my chromecast, it just shows a big Spotify logo on black screen (music still plays through).
I tried clearing Spotify cache on phone, reinstalling app, resetting, restarting and configuring Chromecast again, yet nothing changed.
Anyone else experiences this? Any thoughts on how this can be fixed?

I have the exactly the same issue, no idea how to fix it. 😕
Worth noting that this issue happens with both Nexus 5 and iPhone 6 phones.
This still goes! Only the Spotify logo shows on TV when casting. This goes for every mobile (Samsung S6/S3, Huawei Y330 ++), tablets (Lenovo A50, iPad2), PC's and Chromebook.
This is a major setback and almost a dealbraker for me.
I've got the same problem and it's really annoying. How does one get in contact with the developers? Tried tweeting them, but no response.
It's ridiculous that we were not able to get any feedback from Spotify team for over 3 weeks.
Folks with twitter, try getting attention to this issue by tweeting to @SpotifyCares account.

The reason I marked it as the solution is to highlight that a fix will be released shortly and to ensure that my post moved to the top of the thread for visability.
Yup, tweeted the spotifyCares account and this was their reply:" Hey! Our devs are still looking into this. Hopefully they'll find a fix soon /L"
So hopefully, we'll have it fixed. We just have to keep asking if nothing happens within a short period of time.

The thing is - it used to work! Seems this should't take to long to figure out, it it has a priority. Which it probably doesn't.
Using "Spotify Connect" atm instead on my Pioneer AVR, and boy does it suck in comparison...
Still doesn't work here either, nor have I receieved any progress update which I was promised when I was in contact with support. Disappointing really.
