Spotify no longer appears in "Phone Search" for google voice search

Before the latest update, I was able to use Google's voice search to play tracks on Spotify by saying things like "Play Surfer Rosa" but now it does not work, and Spotify does not appear in the list of applications to use for "Phone Search" in the Google app's settings.  (Also, there's a really annoying splash screen that keeps asking me to do some Facebook nonsense.)  How do I get this back?
