Spotify not using data?

For the past few days spotify doesnt play anything if i am not connected to wifi no matter what i do. all the songs in my playlist are greyed out and unable to play as well as the search page fully not pulling up. it acts as if it is in offline mode despite me having pleanty of data for it to run. i have flicked both offline toggels several times to try and reset it as well as un/reinstalling the app. is this happening to anyone else? please tell me this isnt a new """"feature""""

Good evening, thanks for reaching out! Have you checked whether Spotify has all the necessary permissions to use mobile data in your device settings? Also, make sure your device’s operating system is up to date.

 

In addition, try logging in with a different Spotify account, perhaps a friend’s or family member’s, to see if the issue persists.

 

Finally, if you’re using an SD card, remove it, restart Spotify, and check whether the problem is still there.
