Spotify on Sony Smartwatch 3 and android wear

I am strongly considering to buy a Sony Smartwatch 3 som I don't have to bring my android phone with me when I am out running. But I need Spotify on it (offline).

My question, can I run Spotify offline on a Sony Smartwatch 3 ?

The Smartwatch acts as a remote or secondary screen. You do not install Spotify to the phone and therefore it will not be able to access your apps or data unless your phone is within Bluetooth proximity.

No worries. Maybe in the future smart watches will be able to do this sort of thing, but in their current state they just don't have that ability.

THis is not a problem of smartwatch. It is a problem of Spotify not providing decent app on Android Smartwatch. Google Music is already providing this service on smartwaches. I hate google and love Spotify, therefore I demand Spotify offline on Smartwatches!!!!
