Spotify play bar/widget no longer shows on unlock scree

My Question or Issue

 Before I got premium I used to be able to skip track or pause using a widget type thing on the unlock screen before actually unlocking my phone. Now I have to unlock my phone and open Spotify to do anything, also when skipping tracks now, the song will skip to the next track but will still show the previous tracks name and artists etc as though the app has crashed
