Spotify stops playing when I make a phone call but doesn't resume afterwards

Hi,
When I play music and make a phone call, I would expect that the music will stop and resume after the phone call, but I need to resume it manually. Is there a solution for that?

Your assumption is quite correct. What device, android and spotify versions are you using?

I'm using a Xiaomi mi5s running Android 6.0.1. Spotify app version is
8.3.0.681.

Could you just check that the permissions you have set for spotify include "phone"?
