Will it work without problems on 320 kbps on Android?
I mean, because my main operator 21 Mbps, it is 250 kbps at peak time, max, 2,1 Mbps. And price is 15 €.
This speed is 5,90 € Unlimited, so maybe I should get this instead? I never use my phone for anything else, mainly only music.
Thanks.
I'm now testing speeds using app, not Internet browser. Looks like I have ok speeds, but vary is big. One time it is 10 Mbps, another minute later at peak time it is 2 Mbps. I'm still thinking about it, I have already updates isabled, these work only on Wifi. Another option is to get Offline mode in use - but for now sream works w/o problems from day to day.
I don't know, but in my opinion speeds are faster when using Android speed test app, rather than HTML5 online test in browser.
Don't forget the app will buffer the current song so you will initially see a spike using the maximum speed achievable, this will then drop down as the buffer is filled and the song can play correctly.
If you have a lower achievable speed then it may not be able to buffer as efficiently, but hopefully as long as the signal strength is strong you shouldn't see any degradation.
I will see what I do. Sadly my current operator only provides 0.25M, 21M, 50M 4G or 150M 4G... 4G I don't want to use anymore. Too much speed, 256 kbps is too slow. 21 Mbps works, but slow sometimes, as low as 0.3-1 Mbps sometimes.
The only thing is that I maybe don't really want to transfer my number and wait stuff.
My first data plan was 0.5 Mbps 5.56 €, but price increased a double, to 10 € almost. So I was forced to change plan on my operator.
Hey there.
I have complained to my tele operator many times on phone line and they all suggest 4G 50M/25M for 20 € month. I have simple no need. Today I complained on forum and they made exclusive 1M phone plan, like my curent, but speed is Unlimited 1M 3G for 9,90 € month. That speed I can get really 99,9% of day. And it is really enough for my Spotify 320 kbps stream. This w/o operator change, so I can finish my 5th year and then we go next year Q1 for 6th year etc.
Now I pay 14,90 € Unlimited 21M 3G, but actually it is 2.1 Mbps max on peak time and even near 1 Mbps at very peak time. Rarely I gate even a half, but pay max bill.
My home broadband is still this cable modem 100M/10M. All from same opeperator, with same bill.
I'm glad it is finally sorted, as I was a way too close to change to another mobile operator... But now I like me beats real loud on 1M/0.5M 🙂
When my home broadband 2 year agreement ends, I probably will change it in my operator to 10M/10M. It is 13 € cheaper 39.90 € to 26.90 € and speed is 100M/10M drops to 10M/10M - but I think it is enough for me, who live alone forever wityh Netflix and Spotify. Smart-TV Spotify takes 7 Mbps max. So I really could save money more, because I don't think I need really 100M... Rarrely can find any server which downloads at this speed unless it is Google, Spotify, Netflix or fast download server like Microsoft or Linux.
