Spotify switches to.my phone whenever I connect Bluetooth

My Question or Issue

My wife uses our Spotify account to play music to sleep and on her way to work on her phone but if she has music playing then as soon as I connect any Bluetooth device to my phone her music will switch to my phone and start playing through my Bluetooth device. It is very annoying because she can't easily switch it back while driving and when it happens I am never trying to listen to Spotify. I've checked the settings and can't find any way to disable this irritating feature.

This can happen because a Spotify account is meant for one person. This means that there may be confusion between devices.
