Spotify will not update or open anymore, I have tried everything

My Question or Issue

my original issue was that I didn't have access to the Spotify wrapped story on my android (my phone would not let me update the app). I tried to restart my phone, restart the app, and clear my cache. that didn't work so I figured I would delete and re-install the app on my phone. I guess that isn't an option on my phone, so I ended up reverting it to an older version of the app instead. of course, Spotify won't run on older versions, so now not only can I not access my wrapped, but I can't access Spotify on my phone at all, because it refuses to update. (just as an fyi it gives me the option to in the App Store, but whenever I press it a bubble pops up saying something went wrong). at this point I just want access to my Spotify again.

Edit: not ideal, but I managed to fix it by resetting my phone, Spotify both works and I can see the story now.
