My Question or Issue
I have multiple playlists I made for myself, and whenever I'm playing them, I keep getting recommended songs, even if "Smart Shuffle" is not activated.
As I understand it, "Smart Shuffle" is supposed to add recommended songs in the playlist's queue, but it doesn't matter if I either only have the normal shuffle or none activated at all, you keep playing recommendations.... When I listen to a playlist, I listen to it because I want specifically listen ONLY to the songs I added to the list.
So, is there ANY way to turn that off, because it's annoying as **bleep**. Especially because the recommendations sometimes not even align with my playlist or my taste of music in general.
Or having a playlist you like to sing along with, and you suddenly hear a song you don't know and get thrown off... if I want to hear recommendations, I'll turn off that smart shuffle, or listen to the recommendations, which are suggested at the bottom of the playlist on my own accord.
Please fix that.....

Hey @BurningFalcon,
Apologies for the delayed reply here 🙌🏼
Just wanted to jump in with a suggestion - I think what you might be referring to here is the Autoplay function, which plays similar content after your queued up playlist ends. This function can be disabled from your app settings on desktop & mobile by following the steps from the linked article above! 🙂
And, @AMANDAJ79, you might be affected by an Ongoing Issue we have under investigation here. Feel free to take a look and leave a comment in case this is still happening on your end.
Hope this helps!
I am having the same issue. Regardless of the Playlist or turning off shuffle, it will play random songs.
Hey folks,
This sounds like some very odd app behaviour.
Could you let us know if it persists across multiple platforms or on your mobile devices only?
If possible, we'd also like to see a screenshot or a video recording of your queue when these recommendations play.
Many thanks! We'll be on the lookout for your reply 🙂

This is still happening to me. It started yesterday and no matter what I do, it is shuffling in songs that aren't even in the same genre. Help!
Thanks!
Sorry, I'm currently not listening to a lot of music, so when trying to "bruteforce" this behavior, I can only say I managed to it when reaching the end of my playlist, the app immediately starts a recommended song, rather than stop.
I have yet to try it with a longer playlist, but I imagine, since it wasn't on repeat and the app remembers which songs I already heard, it just ends the list at some point and plays recommended songs instead. - I feel like this is not supposed to happen, or there should be a way to turn that off.
I also wondered why there was no shuffle+repeat, when using a playlist, but I just realised, I have to open the song itself, then the repeat button appears on the right.
Appearently, the 1 button used for shuffle/shuffle+repeat/smart-shuffle was either changed at some point, or I remember it. totally wrong.

Sorry for MY late response. I think this should do solve the problem, I honestly didn't know this was a hidden setting (hidden in the sense it's not next to shuffle/repeat; some time ago it was also part of these setting marked with a star)
